Job Qualifications: Experience in, first-hand knowledge of, or burning curiosity about rural life and a commitment to the heritage of rural America and GRIT. Seeking an individual with excellent skills in organization, communication (oral and written), editing, and digital technology (CMS, SEO, video editing, blogging, social media, “smart” devices, etc.). Applicants should be able to write about rural living with an authentic, encouraging and enthusiastic voice. Must be a team player, able and willing to pitch in at all levels – can-do attitude and good sense of humor are a must. Must be able to adapt to ongoing change and cheerfully interface with supporting departments.

Job Responsibilities: Include many or all of the following: magazine editing; web content editing; website content management; blogging; story writing; blogger recruitment; photo sourcing; interfacing with Information Technology, Web Support, Circulation, Advertising Sales, Marketing and Production Teams; website design, digital magazine content production; electronic newsletter content production; and both innovative and routine maintenance of the website.
